SHARING A LOVE OF MUSIC

Ensemble Atmosphères is committed to fostering a love of music, in the firm belief that an instrumental vocation can contribute substantially to both individual and collective development. Each concert series includes workshops and educational activities offered by the musicians of Atmosphères and their guest soloists, to young people —whether they play an instrument or not — giving them behind-the-scenes insight into the orchestra world.

As the associate orchestra of the Pantin Conservatoire, Atmosphères produces workshops on conducting, harmonic analysis and instrumental technique, led by members of the Ensemble prior to rehearsals – which are open to the public – as well as masterclasses given by guest soloists. Narrative sessions aimed at introducing children to music in a fun, engaging and interactive way, are organised for primary school students from the city's schools.
As a partner of the École Normale de Musique de Paris, Atmosphères also offers a professional development and mentoring programme for Master’s & Artist Diploma students wishing to develop their orchestral skills, while gaining an invaluable networking opportunity. Upon audition, they are invited to join the Ensemble in its concerts.
